Tablemaster Tables!
These are some tables Lizard created for use with Tablemaster. Tablemaster is nifty software if you're the type of hopeless geek that likes to roll things up just to see what you can get. I am. Anyway, here's some tables -- these are my first attempts at writing tables, and, as such, they're fairly lame -- but the glory and beauty of the Internet is that it allows us all to publish anything we want without regard to quality. You will need the full version of Tablemaster to make use of these, but I've include 20 samples from each so you can see what they're like even if you don't have it. (And don't even think of asking me to pirate it for you. Wintertree is a tiny little company with a great attitude and nifty, gamer-oriented products -- anyone who would steal from them is Scum Beyond Redemption. Period.)
Oh yeah...for the guns and space opera names table, you'll need the Planet Names table that comes with the Tablemaster Science Fiction pack. Or you can edit the references to that out. Sorry about that, Chief.
Fantasy Nations:This is based on the 'Countries' table which came with the Tablemaster program. I've modified it enough that I feel morally justified in posting it here. Basically, it generates random country names with a fantasy flavor. Here's a sample:
- Bleak Kingdom of Bocheluche
- Supreme Duchy of Gavihabro
- Royal City-State of Run'pori
- Sorcerous Brojeboate Confederacy
- Free Realm of Kilona
- Free Baluregraic Kingdom
- Supreme Mabruburiian Domain
- Free Domain of Hojari
- Western Rocoche-Hiate Domain
- Royal Barony of Magre
- Imperial Domain of Lobiia Jegoja-Be
- Independent City-State of Gobeia
- New Gresobrip'broian Kingdom
- New Kingdom of Tawa-Ragro
- Free Realm of Ditehe
- Supreme Principality of Rege
- Free Kingdom of Guwa-Ge
- Independent Takoate Kingdom
- Eastern Get'tohaic Realm
- Sovereign Barony of Gir'segro
And here's the table itself. country2.tbl
Space Opera Names:This table generates the sort of names which go well in Star Warsish, space-opera type games. It's also used by the Guns table. (It also requires the n_system table from Tablemaster SF Pack, but it's easy enough to cut out the references to that.) Here's some samples...
- Evorlan Dusthand
- Rogorvanril Lossedker
- Renarnil Windflight
- Renirsen Ankon
- Karsedlan Lanran
- Nasloklan Lanirril of Heimdall
- Varonmor Frostmaker
- Karkos Varonvannal of Frey
- Anarnoskon Beaststrike of Yuda-Se Gu-Waia
- Adarnlan Losdar
- Minonsal Dusthand
- Evirker Bermabgor of Xedoki
- Minonkon Varorend of Nuhecovo
- Kordar Min
- Minos Vallokmor
- Bararndar Airfather
- Korirkos Barkos
- Evsen Kan of Hera
- Varend Adseddar
- Kellin Lanend of Henry's Ending
And, again, here's the actual table.
Guns!: This table generates random guns, for use in stocking gun shops, enemy bodies, or just giving the characters' sidearms some history and character. It makes extensive use of some of my other tables, and requires the n_system table from the Tablemaster SF Pack. If you don't have that, it will be simple for you to edit out the references to it. In any event, once again, some sample guns...
