Dr. Toro Morito is a scientist working for Hashinen Corporation, located in Tokyo 2121. His specialty is biodroids, especially human/animal hybrids, which he tailors for use as spies in non-humanoid realities.

Dr. Morito is an unusual individual. He tends to dislike humans and prefer the company of animals, with whom he has a strong bond. Since he does not need to torture or abuse animals in order to work with their DNA, this is not an impediment to his work. But he is also an incurable lech, and his lab assistants usually quit within days, if not hours, rather than put up with his continual lewd comments. He spends a lot of time alone.

Hashinen values him greatly, and spends a lot of money on security to keep him protected. This is good, as corporate raiders from several realities, including True York, often make attempts on his life.
