His mother was one of the most notorious jackers of T2120. His father was an arch-mage of Riverwall. Their passion was consummated in a pocket interface that temporarily linked the two realities. And he is...well, if he lives, it's generally conceded he'll be one of the most important figures in Nexus and beyond. But Lloyds of Neovictorian London is giving 10-to-1 odds on him ever seeing his 21st birthday.

Kid Mana (He prefers that to Kamen Avallorn, his given name) is unique even among Nexans. He seems to carry a small personal mana field with him, allowing him to work magic even in non-mana realities. Likewise, technological implants don't alter when he enters low or no tech realities. He is a walking interface, a reality unto himself.

All of which would be fine, except that he's also an arrogant bastard who can't seem to quite grok the concept that other people's property should belong to other people. He's of the opinion that it's his duty to part fools and their money, and, if someone really wanted to hold on to something, they would have guarded it better. The only reason he still lives is the power of his parents, but even they can't protect him forever.
